Born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, award-winning songwriter Chad Spikes grew up immersed in a rich blend of rock and roll, blues, country, and bluegrass. That diverse musical landscape shaped his sound and sparked a lifelong passion for songwriting and performance.

Music was a family tradition from an early age, with live performances and sing-alongs laying the foundation for his love of harmony, storytelling, and connecting with an audience. As a young adolescent, Chad began performing, a path that would lead him to opera roles at Florida State University, shared stages with national recording acts, and work as a producer and session musician across multiple genres for various record labels.

Chad’s songwriting and musical work have earned wide recognition, including music featured in an Emmy Award–winning film, articles in Billboard magazine, and numerous placements in the Will McLean Foundation’s Best New Florida Song contest.
